Hi all! So, somehow, we have reached the 30-day mark before our trip to Florida!! It is coming up so quickly!!
Well, it’s Friday 4th October 2024…. and WE ARE GOING TO FLORIDA IN A MONTH!! I really cannot believe how quickly it has turned up! I have 14 shifts before we get to go away! Mum has 16 shifts left.
We booked this holiday almost a year ago now. It was shortly after our trip in September, and as we loved it so much, we wanted to make it a 2-week break! So we took a leap and booked it! We didn’t realise how quickly it would come up! It shows you how quickly life can pass you by!
Anyway, onto the update! We are starting to finalise plans now. We have booked Discovery Cove with a dolphin swim for the 11th of November, which should be awesome; I have never been there before! We also get access to SeaWorld with this ticket if we want, although we haven’t finalised that yet!
As mentioned last time, we have booked Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas event for the 8th November. We are also going to Animal Kingdom but haven’t set a date yet. One of the benefits of going for two weeks is we have plenty of days to plan things. I don’t foresee us doing a massive amount, as we were slightly overwhelmed last time. We want to enjoy the break!
Next is the restaurants to go to in the evening; Cheesecake Factory is one of the places we’d like to go, so that’s on the list; there are others; thankfully, my friend has a list she will show me soon, so we can pick where we’d like to go!
We also want to have chilled days of reading a book and perhaps going for a swim at the end of the time we are there to relax! I know 14 days will shoot by, but we will have a brilliant time!
Everything is in place now; we each have our ESTAs, travel insurance, and flights and hotels booked, so it’s just a case of getting there now!
So we are ready! My next update will be around the 10-day mark as we start to pack and put the finishing touches to everything! In the meantime, if you have any suggestions on what we can do that I have missed, I would love to hear them; please post in the comments below!
