Well…I can’t actually believe it, but I have arrived at my pre-travel day! It has come around really quickly! Today was focused on getting to my hotel for tonight before my flight tomorrow. I initially chose a hotel so I could get my COVID-19 test before my flight, but the US no longer requires it. It’s also handy, so I don’t have to rush in the morning!

The start of the day was me just going through all my packing and cabin bag packing, ensuring I had everything I needed, so I just spent an hour double-checking and ensuring I had all my documents. With that out of the way, it was time to drive to the hotel. Thanks to my Dad for giving me a lift here! I had a mega-stressful moment around midday as it was scary how quickly it had arrived, and my mind went into overdrive!! This happened shortly after I checked into my flight, making it feel real!

My journey begins!

The hotel I chose was the Premier Inn on Bath Road as it is a quick drive to Terminal 3 in Heathrow, where I am flying from tomorrow. I have previously used Priemer In on my first solo outing in London to see the Lion King and was quite happy with it! The price was reasonable too. It costs £67 for the room and £26 for their meal deal which includes a 2-course meal of your choice and Breakfast in the morning.

I checked in and grabbed myself a coffee from Costa (quite impressed that they actually had a Costa on site!). The room itself is good; it was tidy and clean; I found out they didn’t have any plug sockets near the bed, which was weird! But the room will do! Here is a quick 1-minute tour of my room, if you are interested!

After I had settled down in the room, I did a short walk to the Tesco to get some essentials for the morning like deodrant and shower gel which I didn’t add to my luggage as I was worried if it wouldn’t be allowed to go on the plane! Shortly after that, I then headed for dinner. It was pretty nice! Here is what I had.

Not bad quality, either! The waiter was helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed it. I felt a bit weird eating on my own, but the whole point of me going solo is to help me see places I couldn’t before! So I will not allow it to sway me!

So now, I am sitting in my room double and triple checking I have everything for tomorrow’s travel day. Tomorrow, I will probably consolidate all of my travel day into one post once I arrive at Universal’s Aventura Hotel, assuming I am not too tired!!

My alarm is set for 05:45 tomorrow, so I need to get an early night and get ready for the day, which I anticipate will be manic! I am still very nervous, but hopefully, things will go well in the morning! I have booked my breakfast for 06:30 and will be getting an Uber around 07:10, which should get me to the terminal at about 07:30, giving me enough time to get through security and get ready for my flight. According to my boarding pass, my boarding time is 10:35, which should be okay, assuming there are any long delays tomorrow!

Anyway, thanks for reading, see you tomorrow!!
