Hi all! So, our short break has come to an end, and I am now back home! It was an awesome two days! Here is what happened today and a mini-review at the end!
The day started off with me getting up slightly earlier than my alarm. I slept really well, and the bed was very comfortable! I got about seven and a half hours of sleep, so that should last me the day! First up is breakfast! I knew Spanish breakfast would be different, but I was taken aback a little! It was nice, though, and I tried so many new things! Here are some pictures of our breakfast choices:
My friend and I sat down and ate breakfast and reviewed what we had done yesterday, we did have the initial plan of going on a cable cart ride, which we should have done, but we’ll do it next time! After that, we headed to the room and finished packing, went downstairs, checked out and waited for our shuttle. It was only about a 10-minute drive, which was fine! We went there super early but we had a look around and bought so souvenirs for our families! Here are a few pictures:
The terminal was huge! It had more to it than I thought! Lots of shops we didn’t really see on our short tour yesterday, but it was worth it! We all spent too much! With that, we headed to our gate and awaited our plane. We arrived home at 1414 and grabbed lunch. Unfortunately we are both back at work tomorrow! Boo!
A mini-review
So, something I will be starting up as I keep missing is a little review at the end of the last day! So, let’s take a look at Barcelona.
Overall, I had a great time! I was very nervous about the trip as they don’t speak English, but I quickly found out that they do! I still have a lot to learn about confidence abroad, but I will work on it on our next trip! Barcelona is a lovely little city in Spain, although it was a little dirty and there did not appear to be many public toilet facilities it was good. The Uber drivers could do with being a little more precise when they drop us off! Most people I spoke to were welcoming, but some just didn’t care but that’s the same for here too!
I was really nervous, and I struggled to find my feed initially It still was not perfect when I left; I had to work on my confidence more when in a country that doesn’t speak English! I need to get up there and just do it! But I am sure as I get more experience traveling it will be easy for me! My friend was a pro at it, though!! I learnt a lot from her!
The hotel was lovely and well situated to access the airport plus a few small shops nearby, and a bit further was even a hypermarket. The breakfast was good despite it being strange to me but that’s because I am British! Overall, I was very impressed and loved the trip! Here’s to my next one!
And with that mini-review, my trip has come to an end! It went very quickly! My next trip, barring any changes, will be in 95 days when I head to Orlando, Florida, with mum! I am really looking forward to this trip! I am looking at perhaps doing something in September, but nothing is set in stone yet! Thanks for reading my two-day blog!
If I go for a trip in September, I will be blogging it again; if not, my next blog will be the hype building up for our next trip! See you then!
