So, we have reached the end of my mini adventure in Blackpool! Today we went to Blackpool Tower, stood on the glass window, which gave me a weird feeling in my stomach and travelled home.
First things first, Breakfast! It was pretty much the same as yesterday, but the fried eggs were fresher! I also went with Granola first! Here are a few pictures for Breakfast.
I booked the attraction a bit later than I wanted to; I thought I might sleep in, so I booked it for 11:00, which was a pain as I wanted to leave about that time due to the length of the drive ahead; unfortunately, I couldn’t change it so I had to keep myself entertained for about an hour and a half! I cleaned my room in preparation for leaving and watched a few shows on my phone. Finally, it was time for me to go. I arrived at Blackpool Tower a little early, but they let me in! Here are a few pictures before the 4D cinema.
After the little tour of the tower’s history, we headed to the 4D cinema, unfourantely, they forbid photography during the show so can’t show you any of it. Basically, though it went through the tower’s history and added some fun elements, it threw water at up and random effects like air and strobe lighting. It was pretty good overall! Once the show was down, they guided you to the lift to reach the top! Here are a few pictures.
My biggest challenge was the stand on the glass floor… this caused butterflies in my stomach, even though I knew it was safe!! I did it and am proud to have done it, even walked along the glass walkway. Here is a picture of me looking down. Be warned, not for the faint-hearted!
Wow… what an experience! I really enjoyed the tower! I got myself a souvenir too, a miniature Blackpool Tower!
Now, it was time for me to wave goodbye to Blackpool! The drive home was immense, I was stuck in traffic for over an hour, and the drive itself took nearly 8 hours which stops in between!!! It was tiring! The bright side was that I got to visit several service stations! I grabbed dinner at the second one, KFC, which I know is not the most exciting!!
And that was it! My mini adventure to Blackpool was complete! I had a fantastic time and enjoyed myself; it was a nice getaway, although I have learned a lesson on booking a hotel room….i.e. making sure it has Air Con! I really enjoyed it! Time for me to plan my next mini-adventure! Thanks for following along. As things are right now, the next blog should be the build-up of my next trip to Florida with Mum, as we have 63 days to go! There might be a mini adventure in between, but we’ll see! So, until next time, see you soon!
