Hi all!

So, today marks the 20-day countdown!! I can’t believe how quickly it has come up! So in 20 days, I will be arriving at Heathrow Airport and checking into my hotel, ready for my flight to Orlando the next day!

I am getting excited and nervous at the same time! As I have said in my previous post, I have never been aboard before, partly due to me putting a lot of effort into my career. So not only is this my first holiday abroad alone, but it is also my first flight ever! I told you I was being adventurous!

I am flying with Virgin Atlantic in Economy this time, so if you have any tips on how I can survive the ten-and-a-half-hour flight, I’d greatly appreciate any tips you may have!

I have got both my suitcase, and my cabin bag sorted. I wasn’t sure which suitcase to choose, so I chose this one:

I got this from Amazon, which was on sale for £86 at the time, down from £150, which I thought was a good bargain. These past few weeks, I have been reading up on which suitcase to have and what is best; there were mixed opinions on whether you should have a hard or a soft case. I chose to have a hard case, which should protect it during the flight; it will also be good for storing goodies I will bring back from Orlando! Apparently, this is suitable for a two-week stay; we shall see! It has a handle that extends, allowing me to wheel it along, and a TSA-approved lock to protect it.

While there, I also bought a cabin bag, which is apparently suited for Virgin Atlantic flights so I can store my food and drink, and it can double up as a backpack for the park! Again I got it from Amazon. Here is a pic:

My Cabin Max bag!

So it is starting to approach very quickly!! I will need to begin preparing a list of what I need to take! I don’t want to be caught short of anything while aboard! I am starting to get excited now, nervous and apprehensive, but I guess that is normal, especially when it’s your first time travelling, AND you are doing it on your own!!

If you have any tips or hints, let me know, I’d love to hear them!
