IanHi all! So… wow… I can’t believe this! 4 days to go! This has come up so quickly, which is fantastic!
So, I have just finished my last shift before our holiday, and quite frankly, I don’t know quite how to feel! I am really looking forward to our break away as we both need it and we will enjoy ourselves. But it isn’t easy to put into words how I feel! I feel nervous, excited, worried, and stressed; most of all, I am excited, but I just can’t quite put it into words!
Mum felt the same when she finished her last shift, too! She finished on Tuesday and felt much the same when she came home! I think it’s us holding back our feelings as we haven’t arrived yet, and so many things could go wrong!
Not much to report currently! I have set up mobile passport control to hopefully get through security faster when we land in Orlando, as the US government are trying to speed up arrivals! That was done, and Virgin Atlantic wanted us to confirm our passports and what food we wanted! Mum was a bit indecisive and has changed her mind twice! There is one more thing to be flight-ready, which we can’t do yet, which is contact tracing. I am not sure why that is still a thing; I thought it was finished after COVID! I won’t be able to do that until Saturday, though!
Tomorrow, Mum and I will get our packing done! We plan on going to Sainsbury’s to get some last-minute things and then do our bags! Follow along with us tomorrow, as I will be blogging along the way!
With that said, there’s not much else to say, really! We are both really excited about our holiday and need the break! I know I don’t appear to be showing much excitement, but I am really looking forward to it!
