Hi there! Welcome to my site! My name is Ian Watkins. I live in Essex, United Kingdom (alright, get the jokes out now…), and I have started blogging about my travels as I see the world!
I am 38 years old and have never travelled aside from France; unfortunately, when my brother and I were younger, we could never afford to go further abroad than France, so I never had the opportunity to go and see the world. Now that I have reached a milestone in my career, I can start to enjoy travel. Ever since I was young, I have always wanted to travel the world, America specifically, as it has always fascinated me! I am starting my travels by going to Orlando, Florida, as I have always dreamt of going, and now, I can go! I am hoping this will be a new hobby of mine!
Alongside starting to travel, I love technology; I have always been the tech guy in the family and have been advising family and friends along the way. I am attracted to technology like a moth to a flame!!
I am an avid gamer. I play on all platforms but mainly use my PC to play games. I got into gaming when I was young when my brother and I got our first game console, the NES, from my awesome parents. This sparked the love of gaming for both my brother and me, and the rest is history, as they say! So maybe one day, I’ll open a gaming blog!
With that, I love cinema; I have been a limitless/unlimited member of different cinemas for over seven years. I love going to the cinema, sitting back, and enjoying a film. It took a bit of courage to go on my own, but I did, and I love it. I don’t have a specific genre I enjoy, and I watch what sounds interesting (Aside from horror movies……)
My career choice was healthcare, and I have been in healthcare for over 15 years. I started in patient transport and worked my way out through the roles within the Ambulance service. This is where most of my time has been taken. Finally, in August 2021, I achieved my career goal of becoming a Paramedic; this was not an easy process, and it wasn’t easy at times, but I got there. I love helping patients in their time of need and supporting them.
I have chosen a new career option! Over the next few years, I will slowly work toward this new career; it will stay under wraps for now! I intend to remain a Paramedic alongside this new career and look forward to explaining more soon!
So that’s a brief bit of information on me.
